No. Anyone can self-refer and book an appointment to see one of our cancer occupational therapists
This is dependent on the type of appointment required. A typical appointment (30-40 minutes) costs around $97.50. Many people will be able to claim back part of this cost via private health insurance fund or via Medicare (using a chronic disease management program and team care arrangement. The number of sessions required to achieve an individuals goals will differ based on a number of factors. The OT will go thru the relevant assessments during the first session to outline the treatment plan for each person. Typically we would be working with a client for between 2-5 sessions over the course of a few weeks or months.

Our clinic is predominately an online telehealth service (video chat or telephone) designed to increase access for all Australian cancer patients and to keep costs at a minimum. We can see patients face to face in Metropolitan Melbourne and Perth by negotiation.
You will need a laptop, desktop or phone with stable internet connection and an internet browser. We will coach any patient through the process if they have not used any telehealth service before.
Yes you can. Many health funds cover costs of Occupational Therapy services, but please check with your health fund prior to your appointment.
We accept all cred card payment types along with BPAY.
We are able to claim the medicare chronic disease management item on your behalf (for a standard 30-40 minute consultation of $97.50, the Medicare rebate is $56.00 meaning you would only need to pay the gap $39.50

We have also contributed extensively to the scientific literature in cancer, haematology, survivorship care, psycho-oncology, occupational therapy and supportive care. We have presented to thousands of patients and carers across the country on behalf of cancer not-for-profit organisations such as Myeloma Australia, Ovarian Cancer Australia, Lymphoma Australia, Pancare Foundation, Leukaemia Foundation of Australia, MPN Alliance, Amyloidosis Australia, Breast Cancer Network Australia, BreaCan and Neuroendocrine Cancer Australia.
